It’s that time of year again!

Each September, since 2002, the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) holds its online PsiberDreaming Conference. Two full weeks of presentations, fun, games and contests that you can partake in from the comfort of your home 24/7. I’ve attended at least ten of these conferences and each one is more mind-blowing then the last. This year promises to be no different.

If you haven’t heard of the IASD or attended a previous conference, the PsiberDreaming Conference is a chance to chat with and learn from dreamers from around the world; and don’t be surprised if you find your ‘tribe’.

In addition to 24 online presentations (which you can read at your leisure), there is the PsiberDreaming Art Gallery, A Place For Dreams (a discussion board for sharing dreams), PsiDreaming Contests and Games to particpate in, and the ever-popular Outer Inn (24/7 chat, fun and games).

At the end of the two-week live conference there is an additional two-week read-only period to catch-up on what you missed. There’s so much happening during those first two weeks that you will need the extra time to read everything.

Submit your dream art

Do you have artwork to share that resonates with the conference theme of “Tuning into the Frequency”? Dreamers of all artistic levels and mediums are invited to submit their dream-related artwork to the PsiberDreaming Art Gallery. Your submission must include the dream that inspired the art. In addition, if your artwork is accepted you must attend the conference. Submission deadline is September 11, 2016.

Wait there’s more!

Experience lucid dreaming while awake

Lucid dreaming while awake — technology and artistic vision unite

Technology and art combine in a massive 32,000 sq ft interactive art installation in Odaiba, Tokyo through August 31st.  As a visitor to the installation, you experience something similar to lucid dreaming while awake.  You are invited to wander through a digital maze of interactive art. Using your smartphone, you decide how the artwork changes to fully immerse yourself in a lucid dreamlike experience. The art continually changes and never repeats as you move and interact within the space.

There are several different room-sized computer-generated, interactive installations. Light, sound, smell and touch are all used to fully immerse you in the experience.

In Floating in the Falling Universe of Flowers, the cycle of life perpetually continues as floating flowers grow, bud, bloom and die.

In Wander Through the Crystal Universe, you walk around in a three-dimensional light space. Your movement affects the light and changes the installation. You also interact with the installation using your smartphone to select different elements in the Crystal Universe.

In Drawing on the Water Surface Created by the Dance of the Koi and People – Infinity, you walk through water with swimming koi. Bumping into the koi causes them to burst into flowers and disperse while their courses leave trails of light.

In Soft Black Hole – Your Body Becomes a Space that Influences Another Body, the darkness is so pervading you can’t see the walls, floor or ceiling. Imagine as you enter, everything you touch is so soft it feels as if you are sinking into it. Wandering along, the space itself changes and effects you and others in the room. (Sorry, no video for this one.)

As a dreamer and an artist, I would love to experience this — wouldn’t you?

A Dream Revolution!

RevolutionArmed with our dreams, we have a weapon that can turn this society upside down by turning our lives around. The greatest battles waged throughout history have been within the souls of a few brave men and women. To work with dreams in the deepest sense is to be a leader in the revolution of human consciousness.

“I dare you to join us — be a revolutionary! “

Welcome to my new dream site!!!

Thank you for stopping by my new dream site!

I originally created my Notes from a Dreamer site way back in 2001 in response to a dream. I had this dream, Trees for Two, in May of 2000. When I awoke from it, I was in total awe and that feeling continued all day long. I knew it was a “big dream” and I had to take time to interpret it and, even more importantly, act on it. (Read the dream and interpretation, here.)

A lot has changed since 2001 — especially me. I’m fifteen years older. I moved from NJ to VA for love, and am now single again. I am now a published author, dream educator, dreamworker and most recently, an artist!

Technology has changed much, too. The old site just wasn’t viable anymore as I couldn’t update it using the same tools since purchasing a new laptop with Windows 10. So I needed to design this new dream site. This new site is much more streamlined and will be devoted only to dreams. I created another site for my artwork, entitled, Art from a Dreamer. I hope you will consider visiting it and sharing what you like with your friends.
